I’m so glad you’re here!

Hi! I’m so excited we’re going to spend the year together! We will learn SO much about ​each other this year but here are a few things you might want to know about me!

I was born and raised in Holton, Kansas. I grew up with just my dad, Gerald, and my ​siblings Michael & Rebecca. I also spent a ton of time with my grandparents so I have a ​lot of stories about them too. I have always loved school and told everyone I knew that I’d ​be a teacher when I grew up starting in about 1st grade.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher with my Bachelors from Wichita State University ​and my Masters from Baker University – both in Kansas. I started teaching in rural ​Kansas before moving to Washington. I have taught lovely students in Kindergarten, 2nd, ​and 4th grade – I’ve spent most of my last 15 years teaching 4th because it is truly the ​best!

Now I live in the neighborhood with my husband, Colby, my perfect angel of a cat, ​Lenora, and my super naughty dog (and the love of my life), Ellie. I’m sure we’ll see you ​around on our walks!
